Stop drinking calories
When trying to lose weight it’s really important to limit our calorie intake, and drinking sodas that are just a bomb of sugar and empty calories, is just a waste. Instead of drinking sugary drinks try to have a bottle of water at hand everywhere you go. Water will become your best friend in your fast loss journey and you can always add a few lemon slices or cucumber. Sleep more
You won’t believe it, but having little sleep makes your body crave for sugar and junk food. The more you sleep, the easier it will be to avoid the temptation, so try to sleep at least eight hours a day. If you have a hard time falling asleep try to break a sweat at least once a day, you will end up tired in the evening and will rest like a baby. Avoid eating snacks after 10 pm, but if you feel too hungry to fall asleep, munch on more than 7 almonds per night.
Have a balanced diet
The key here is to start eating the right amount of calories, fats, carbs and proteins. If you cut low in one of these groups your body is going to miss it. Try to have all of them in every meal: peanut butter, eggs and fish are great sources of protein and healthy fats, and white rice, whole wheat pasta and fruits will help you with the carbs. The trick is to never use more than 2 large tablespoons per day. So if you’re having dinner at night, only add 2 tablespoons of rice, noodles or legumes. And if you really want to see the pounds melt, cut down your meat intake to 50% and avoid meats at night.
Buy food smartly
The quality of the meals you eat will determine the quality of your body, so if you want to lose weight you will have to start at the grocery store. Replace candies for healthier snacks like low-fat yogurts, fruits or nuts, that will satiate your hunger and will also give you a boost of proteins and healthy fats to keep your body going.
Move more
If you want to burn fat you have to use your muscles, so besides eating properly, you will need to pick up an exercise routine in order to see some results. It doesn’t mean you have to start working out like crazy, just accustom your body to a little more movement to make your metabolism faster. Anything from swimming to jogging will do, though we recommend to avoid doing pure cardio, as it makes you hungrier.
